The 2025–26 Sacramento Kings season will be the 81st season for the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA), and 41st season in the city of Sacramento.[1] On May 1, 2025, the Kings hired Doug Christie as their full-time head coach.[2]

Draft picks

Round Pick Player Position Nationality College
2 42 Maxime Raynaud C France Stanford

The Kings entered this draft period (which lasted for two days, similar to the previous year's draft) holding only one second-round pick.[3][4] The Kings originally traded away their own first-round pick before the 2025 NBA draft started due to a 2022 trade Sacramento made with the Atlanta Hawks. On the first day, the Kings would trade a 2027 second-round pick held by the San Antonio Spurs to the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder for the first-round selection of shooting guard Nique Clifford from Colorado State University. On the second day, the Kings selected French center Maxime Raynaud from Stanford University with their only second-round pick they kept during this draft period.
