Draft picks

Round Pick Player Position Nationality College / Club
2 41 Koby Brea SG United States Kentucky (Sr.)

The Warriors entered this draft period (which lasted for two days, similar to the previous year's draft) holding only one second-round pick, which was the 41st pick of the draft.[1][2] The first-round pick they originally had would be traded to the Miami Heat as a part of the Jimmy Butler trade the team made in February 2025 during the previous season,[3] which ended up being the 20th pick in the 2025 NBA draft, with the Heat selecting Kasparas Jakučionis.[4] On 26 June 2025, during the second-round of the draft, the team traded the draft rights to the 41st pick (Koby Brea) to the Phoenix Suns, as part of a deal to acquire the draft rights to the 52nd (Alex Toohey) and 59th (Jahmai Mashack) picks.[5][6] Then in a separate deal, they acquired the draft rights to the 56th pick (Will Richard) from the Memphis Grizzlies, in exchange for the draft rights to the 59th pick (Jahmai Mashack), the draft rights to Justinian Jessup (2020 51st pick), and a 2032 protected second-round pick.[7][8]
