In addition to the domestic league, the club would also participate in the FA Cup, the EFL Cup, and the EFL Trophy.

In May, Darrell Clarke was announced as the clubs new head coach, signing a three year deal. It would be his second spell at the club, having previously been in charge between 2014–2018.[1]
