Pre-season and friendlies

On 20 May, Bolton Wanderers announced their first two pre-season friendlies, against Barrow and Shrewsbury Town.[22] On 4 June, another fixture was announced against Hibernian.[23] On 6 June, the club confirmed their final pre-season fixture of the schedule would be played at home to Preston North End.[24] On 17 June, the club confirmed that a fixture against Orlando Pirates would take place during the club's training camp in Spain.[25] On 30 June, fixtures were announced for the B-Team, against Atherton Collieries and Longridge Town.[26]
