Timothy James O'Malley (born December 17, 1959) is an American priest of the Catholic Church who serves as auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Early life

O'Malley in Evergreen Park, Illinois on December 17, 1959. He graduated in 1978 from Loyola Academy. He attended Purdue University, earning a B.A. in economics, and afterwards DePaul University Law School, obtaining a Juris Doctor. After working for several years, he attended Mundelein Seminary and O'Malley was ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Chicago on May 24, 1997.[1]

Episcopacy

Pope Francis appointed O'Malley auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Chicago, assigning him the titular see of Numida on December 20, 2024.[1][2][3] O'Malley was consecrated as a bishop on February 26, 2025.[4]
