Joseph Dube, 23, of Jacksonville, Fla., broke two Pan-American Games records and won the heavyweight gold medal for the United States in weightlifting. The silver medal went to Ernesto Varona of Cuba and the third-place bronze to Brandon Baily of Trinidad-Tobago.
