Lieutenant General Ikram Ul Haq HI(M) is a retired three-star general in the Pakistan Army who served as Defence Secretary of Pakistan. He had also served as Commander XXX Corps.[1]

Military career

Ikram Ul Haq was commissioned into the Pakistan Army via 64th PMA Long Course, joining the 39 Azad Kashmir Regiment.[2]

In 2013, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General.[3] Reportedly, Ikram had served as VCGS.[4]

As a lieutenant general, Ikram had succeeded Raheel Sharif as Inspector General Training and Evaluation.[5] Later, he was appointed as Corps Commander of the XXX Corps, located at Gujranwala.[6]

Post military career

After retirement, Ikram was appointed as Defence Secretary, a key post in the Ministry of Defence succeeding Zamir ul Hassan Shah.[7] As defence secretary, he had led various foreign delegation as a part of foreign diplomacy.[8][9]
