Winter Olympics appearances (overview)

France will compete at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, from 6 to 22 February 2026. As French Alps will host the 2030 Winter Olympics, France will be the penultimate nation to enter the stadium before the host country Italy during the parade of nations at the opening ceremony. Additionally, a French segment will be performed at the closing ceremony.

Alpine skiing

France has so far qualified one female and one male alpine skier through the basic quota.[1][2]

Biathlon

France has qualified six female and six male biathletes through the 2024–25 Biathlon World Cup score.[3][4]

Cross-country skiing

France has qualified one female and one male cross-country skier through the basic quota so far.[5][6] Following the completion of the 2024–25 FIS Cross-Country World Cup, France has qualified further five female and six male athletes.[7]

Figure skating

In the 2025 World Figure Skating Championships in Boston, the United States, France secured two quota in each of the men's singles, one quota in each of the women's singles, and two quota in each of the ice dance.[8]
