Bukowiec [buˈkɔvjɛt͡s] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Górowo Iławeckie, within Bartoszyce County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland, close to the border with the Kaliningrad Oblast of Russia.[1] It lies approximately 6 km (4 mi) north-west of Górowo Iławeckie, 27 km (17 mi) west of Bartoszyce, and 57 km (35 mi) north of the regional capital Olsztyn.
From 1959 to 1961 it was administratively located in the Górowo County in the Olsztyn Voivodeship.[2]
