Aliabad-e Chalus (Persian: علیآباد چالوس, also Romanized as ‘Alīābād-e Chālūs)[1] is a village in Kelarestaq-e Sharqi Rural District, in the Central District of Chalus County, Mazandaran Province, Iran.
Geography
The village is a suburb of Chalus city, located south of city limits and near the northern end of Tehran-Shomal Freeway. Villages bordering Aliabad-e Chalus are Darkala-ye Olya to its southeast, Hoseynabad-e Sofla to its northwest, Mazuposhteh to its south and Tejen Kola-ye Sofla to its west.[2]
Demographics
At the 2016 census, its population was 944, in 315 families.[3] Up from 834 people in 2006.[4]
