The meridian 77° east of Greenwich is a line of longitude[1] that extends from the North Pole across the Arctic Ocean, Asia, the Indian Ocean, the Southern Ocean, and Antarctica to the South Pole.
The 77th meridian east forms a great circle with the 103rd meridian west.
It is the most populous meridian on Earth, being home to between 113.8 million and 140.0 million people as of 2019.[2]
