The 70th Locarno Film Festival was held from 2 to 12 August 2017 in Locarno, Switzerland.[1]

The Golden Leopard, the festival's top prize, was awarded to the documentary film Mrs. Fang by Wang Bing.[2]

The festival's opening film was Tomorrow and Thereafter (Demain et tous les autres jours) by Noémie Lvovsky.[3] The closing film was Gotthard – One Life, One Soul by Kevin Merz.[4]
