The 5th Locarno Film Festival was held from 29 June to 9 July 1950 in Locarno, Switzerland.[1] The festival returned to its no official prizes standard this year; however, the attending international critics decided to vote anyways and declared When Willie Comes Marching Home by John Ford the best picture of the festival.[2]
