The team failed to make the playoffs for the first time since 2010, leaving the 2012–13 season to be the last time the team would qualify for the postseason until the 2020–21 season.

- Tim Hardaway Jr. was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team at the end of the regular season.[2]
- Carmelo Anthony was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week twice. First, for games played from January 6 through January 12,[3] and then for games played from March 3 through March 9.[4] He also led the league in minutes played per game during the regular season.
