The meridian 1° east of Greenwich is a line of longitude[1] that extends from the North Pole across the Arctic Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, Europe, Africa, the Southern Ocean, and Antarctica to the South Pole.
The 1st meridian east forms a great ellipse with the 179th meridian west.
