Zwiastowice [zvjastɔˈvit͡sɛ] (German: Schwesterwitz) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Głogówek, within Prudnik County, Opole Voivodeship, in southern Poland,[1] close to the Czech border. It lies approximately 8 km (5 mi) east of Głogówek, 28 km (17 mi) east of Prudnik, and 37 km (23 mi) south of the regional capital Opole.

The village is named after a person named Zwiast, and was mentioned under the Latinized Old Polish name Zuestoua in a document from 1233.[2] It was a possession of the Cistercians until secularization in 1810.[2]
