Yutian Detention Center (Chinese: 玉田县看守所) is located in Dongmatoushan Village, Yutian Townshiip, Yutian County, Tangshan, Hebei.[2] China's detention centers is used to hold criminal suspects, individuals serving short-term sentences, and inmates with less than three months remaining.[3]
Notable inmates
Qiu Jianzheng (Chinese: 仇建正) - Chinese dissident. On May 8, 2020, the CCP government sentenced Qiu to ten months in prison for inciting subversion of state power. From 2017 to 2019, Qiu used Twitter to post tweets critical of Communist Party and the state leader. He was detained at Yutian Detention Center following his arrest in September 2019. His Apple iPhone was confiscated.[3]
