Yingge dance

Yingge dance, Yingge, Engor (Chinese: 英歌 or 鶯歌; Mandarin Chinese: Yīnggē), or "Hero's Song," is a form of Chinese folk dance dating back the Ming Dynasty. It is very popular in Teochew, a region in the east of Guangdong, particularly in Puning, Jieyang, Huilai, Chaoyang, Lufeng[1] and Hong Kong.[2] The performance combines martial arts, drama and dance and is one of the most representative form of folk arts in Teochew region.[1][3] The performers paint their faces and dress up in the customs of the 108 Stars of Destiny.[2] Each of their hand holds a Yingge stick (英歌槌) or a tambourine.[3] They dance, perform and change their formation in tune with the beat of drums.
