Yaqob Beyene (8 January 1936 – 8 May 2025) was an Ethiopian translator and academic.[1]
Educated at the University of Naples "L'Orientale", he studied the Tigrinya language and translated the four-volume Maṣḥafa Mesṭir, originally written by Giyorgis of Segla.[2]
Beyene died in Capaccio Paestum on 8 May 2025, at the age of 89.[3]
