"Y Es Que Sucede Así" (in English: "And It Happens Like This") is a song by the Peruvian rock band Arena Hash. It is the most successful song released by the band.

"Y Es Que Sucede Así" was originally released the second album of Arena Hash, Ah Ah Ah, until it was moved as a single due to its success. During its release, it became the most popular song on Peruvian radio.^[1]

The song was written by lead guitarist and vocalist, Pedro Suárez-Vértiz. The song is divided into 5 parts, the intro, verse 1, chorus, verse 2, and the ending. The song follows a character who encountered an old childhood friend and is surprised by how much she has changed, beginning with: "Después de tiempo, me la encontré la otra vez" (After some time, I met her again) in the introduction. During the first verse, the protagonist remembers times of his youth. In the chorus, the song highlights attraction of love the protagonist has for the girl, with metaphors like, "Si tú la sabes besar, suele perder el control Se olvida de su sitio" (If you know how to kiss her, she tends to lose control She forgets your place), referencing how feelings can change due to a kiss.^[2] The song concludes with the protagonist taking his love out for a walk, singing "Naa, na na na naa" relative to the chorus.^[3]

The song was recorded by the label SonoSur in 1990 and released in 1991. It was later released as a CD by Discos Independientes as it gained popularity.
