Welcome to the Outcast's Restaurant! (Japanese: 追放者食堂へようこそ！, Hepburn: Tsuihōsha Shokudō e Yōkoso!) is a Japanese light novel series written by Yūki Kimikawa and illustrated by Gaou. It was serialized online between October 2018 to September 2020 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō. It was later acquired by Overlap, who have published three volumes since June 2019 under their Overlap Novels imprint. A manga adaptation with art by Tsumumi has been serialized online via Overlap's Comic Gardo website since September 2019 and has been collected in nine tankōbon volumes. An anime television series adaptation produced by OLM premiered in July 2025.

Light novels

Written by Yūki Kimikawa, Welcome to the Outcast's Restaurant! was serialized on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō from October 22, 2018, to September 5, 2020.[4] It was later acquired by Overlap who began releasing it with illustrations by Gaou under their Overlap Novels light novel imprint on June 25, 2019. Three volumes have been released as of June 25, 2020.[5] The series is licensed in English by Tentai Books.[6]

Manga

A manga adaptation illustrated by Tsumumi began serialization on Overlap's Comic Gardo manga service on September 27, 2019.[9] The manga's chapters have been compiled into nine tankōbon volumes as of March 2025.[10] The manga adaptation is licensed in English by Kaiten Books.[11]

Anime

An anime television series adaptation was announced at the Overlap Bunko 10th anniversary event on December 15, 2024.[25][26] It is produced by OLM and directed by Jōji Shimura, with series composition handled by Deko Akao, characters designed by Aoi Yamato, and music composed by Masato Kōda. The series premiered on July 3, 2025, on AT-X and other networks.[1][2] The opening theme song is "Unique" (ユニーク, Yunīku), performed by Dannie May,[2] while the ending theme song is, "Magokoro My Heart" (まごころMy Heart; Sincerely My Heart), performed by Chō Tokimeki Sendenbu.[3] Crunchyroll is streaming the series.[27] Tropics Entertainment licensed the series in Southeast Asia for streaming on the Tropics Anime Asia YouTube channel.[28]
