WNS (Holdings) Limited (NYSEWNS) is an Indian multinational business process management company. The company is headquartered in New York, London and Mumbai.[5][6][7]On July 7, 2025, French IT services and consulting firm Capgemini announced a definitive agreement to acquire WNS for USD 3.3 billion in cash—at USD 76.50 per share, representing a 17% premium over WNS’s July 3 closing price .

The company employs over 62,000 individuals. WNS is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol WNS.[8]

History

WNS Global Services was established in 1996 as a carve-out of British Airways captive process and back-office activities. In 2002, Warburg Pincus acquired a majority stake, following which WNS became an independent entity.[9] The company expanded into other industries in 2003, and by 2004, new delivery centers were opened in Sri Lanka and India.[10][11]

In 2005, WNS acquired Trinity Partners.[12] The company went public in 2006, listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). WNS subsequently acquired Marketics (2007),[13] Aviva Global Services (2008), and Denali Sourcing Services (2017).[14][15]

Later acquisitions included Vuram (2022), The Smart Cube, and OptiBuy (2023).[16][17][18][19]

In March 2025, WNS acquired American software company Kipi.ai at an agreed deal of $75 million.[20]

On 7 July 2025, Capgemini announced its acquisition of WNS for $3.3 billion.[21]

WNS has 64 delivery centers located in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, China, Costa Rica, India, Malaysia, the Philippines, Poland, Romania, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Turkey.[22]
