The WEA Llanelli is a branch of Adult Learning Wales.[1]
History
The formation of the WEA Llanell was first proposed in the months leading up to the First World War, when a meeting was held on the 20th June, 1914 at the old Town Hall in Hall Street. By March 1915, lectures and classes were established jointly with the Aberystwyth Joint Committee for University Tutorial Classes.
Lectures
The WEA Llanelli holds a series of lectures during the academic year running from September to April. These include memorial lectures dedicated to a local politician Lord Elwyn Jones and Burry Port born diplomat Sir John Gray.

Amrywiaeth Llanelli Miscellany
The WEA Llanelli publishes an annual journal Amrywiaeth Llanelli Miscellany covering a range of historical and cultural topics, as well as short stories from members and local artists[6]. The first Miscellany was launched in 1986 and was the idea of Brynmor Voyle, then chairman.
