Vipul Manubhai Pancholi (born 28 May 1968) is an Indian jurist. He serves as Judge of Patna High Court[1] and previously as judge of Gujarat High Court.
Early life
Justice Pancholi was born on 28 May 1968 at Ahmedabad. He completed a Bachelor of Science in electronics from St. Xavier's College, Ahmedabad and Master of Law in Commercial Group from Sir L.A. Shah Law College, Ahmedabad.[2]
Career
He passed the bar in September 1991 and practiced as an advocate in Gujarat High Court. He served as Assistant Government Pleader and Additional Public Prosecutor at Gujarat High Court from 1999-2006. He worked as visiting faculty at Sir L.A. Shah Law College, Ahmedabad from 1993-2014. He conducted cases in branches of law including Criminal Law, Civil Law, Property Law, Service Law, Family Law, and Banking Law.[3]
On 1 October 2014 he was elevated as an Additional Judge and confirmed as permanent Judge on 10 June 2016. He transferred to Patna High Court on 24 July 2023.[4]
On 26 May 2025 Supreme Court collegium led by CJI Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai recommended him to be appointed chief justice of Patna High Court.[3]
