Vanguart is a Swiss watch manufacturer known for creating high-end, high-complication pieces.
History
Vanguart was established in Switzerland in 2017 by Axel Leuenberger, Jérémy Freléchox, Thierry Fischer, and Mehmet Koruturk.[1]
In 2021, they released The Black Hole in collaboration with James Harden.[2] The watch featured a flying tombolain mechanism designed in-house, and takes inspiration from the astronomical phenomenon of the black hole.[3][2]
In 2024, Vanguart released the Orb, featuring an openworked dial and a flying tombolain. The watch allows the wearer to switch between automatic and manual modes.[4]
From late 2024 to mid-2025, Vanguart received growing international media attention, including the specialist publication Hodinkee.[5] In 2025, Business of Fashion listed Vanguart among rising stars in the watch industry.[6] GQ also featured it among the standout watch brands of 2024.[7]
Hodinkee reported Vanguart's focus on slow and careful growth, and that Vanguart had the freedom to choose their clientele carefully.[8] Speaking to Swisswatches Magazine in 2024, Leuenberger states "This year we will produce 30 to 40 pieces. In 2025, a bit more than 50."[1]
Vanguart watches have appeared in fashion shoots and have been worn by notable people, such as Bad Bunny, James Harden, Michael B. Jordan, Milla Jovovich, Maye Musk, and Thiago Silva.[2][9][10][11]
In February 2025, Vanguart became the Official Timing Partner of the Reignwood Icons of Football golf event in Bangkok, marking the brand's expansion into sports partnerships.[12]
