Career

Urvo Männama made his debut at Dakar Rally in 2023 driving with his cousin Risto Lepik. They were driving with Toyota Gazoo Racing Hilux. On stage 11 they flipped the car over top and later the gearbox broke which left them stranded in the middle of desert. Since they ran out of time they were forces to retire from the rally.[2]

For 2024 Dakar Rally they switched their Toyota Hilux to a brand new Century Racing CR7 car. Because the new car was untested and with many faults, the technical problems begin already at the start. The rally ended for them before the start of the eight stage when the mechanics who were fixing the car, took the car for driving and testing. Due to the malfunction the car caught fire and burnt down in seconds, fortunately nobody was hurt.[3]

In the 2025 Dakar Rally they aimed the TOP 20 spot. They showed good pace and finished stages with good timing. Avoiding bigger mistakes and failures, they finished the rally in 13th place. With that result they are the only Estonian crew who have ever finished the rally in Ultimate class.[4] Their final position changed to 12th after one crew was disqualified.[5]
