Urmas Reitelmann
Urmas Reitelmann (born 9 July 1958 in Tallinn) is an Estonian radio and television personality, producer, journalist and politician. He has been member of XIV Riigikogu.[1]
1981-1983 he studied at University of Tartu. 1981-1990 he worked at Estonian Television, acting as a newsreader, presenter. 1997-2009 he worked at several television channels, acting as a news editor, presenter. He has been a producer for several television series, eg V.E.R.I., Kuldvillak ('Jeopardy!'), Kes tahab saada miljonäriks? ('Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?)'.[1]
Since 2017 he is a member of Conservative People's Party of Estonia.[1]
Biography
Urmas Reitelmann (born 9 July 1958 in Tallinn) is an Estonian journalist, television producer, and politician. He studied history at the University of Tartu from 1981 to 1983. Reitelmann began his media career at Estonian Television, working as a newsreader and presenter from 1981 to 1990. He later held positions as a news editor and presenter at various television channels between 1997 and 2009. Reitelmann has produced several television series, including V.E.R.I., Kuldvillak (the Estonian version of Jeopardy!), and Kes tahab saada miljonäriks? (the Estonian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?). He has also served as a host for these shows on occasion. In 2017, Reitelmann joined the Conservative People's Party of Estonia (EKRE). He was elected to the XIV Riigikogu in 2019, representing the Haabersti, Põhja-Tallinn, and Kristiine districts. Additionally, he has served as a member of the Estonian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).[2][3][4]
