In the 12th round of Nationale I, Djamel Zidane opened the scoring in the 4th minute. Ten minutes later, Hocine Rabet doubled the lead, followed six minutes later by Khelifa Benmessaoud, who added the third goal. In the 25th minute, Déraoul made it 4–0, and just four minutes later, Zidane struck again to score the fifth goal, ending the first half with a commanding 5–0 lead.
In the second half, Zidane quickly added two more goals in the space of two minutes. In the 73rd minute, Déraoul scored his second goal, the team's eighth. Ten minutes later, Benmessaoud netted his second of the match. Three minutes after that, Zidane scored his fifth and final goal of the game an extraordinary performance at just twenty years old. In the final minute, substitute Nacer Guedioura completed the rout with the 11th goal.
This remains the heaviest victory ever recorded at the Stade 5 Juillet 1962 in all competitions since its inauguration.
