Tieren John Hawkins (born April 19, 1996) is a Canadian actor, producer, and screenwriter. He is best known for producing and co-starring in the FibeTV1 original series King & Pawn, and for his appearance on the second season of the reality dating series Farming for Love.
Early life and education
Hawkins was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. From 2013 to 2021, he served in the Royal Canadian Navy.[1] He is a graduate of Mount Saint Vincent University.[2]
Career
In 2019, Hawkins launched his film career by writing and producing the series Halifax Homicide.[3] In 2022, he wrote and oversaw production of the low-budget wrestling themed TV pilot Turnbuckles for Swearnet.com.[4] Also in 2022, he completed a series of lifestyle pieces for the CBC News, focused on topics such as tiny homes and the cosplay community.[5]
Hawkins is the co-creator, producer, and writer of the comedy series King & Pawn, which debuted on April 5, 2022, exclusively on Bell FibeTV1.[6] In 2023, the series was renewed for a second season.[7]
In 2024, he appeared on the second season of Farming for Love.[8]
In October 2024, he was named as one of Atlantic Canada's Top 28 Under 30 Innovators by Atlantic Business Magazine.[9] Also in 2024, he produced the series Diefenbunker: The Cold War in Nova Scotia,[10] a five-part documentary series highlighting the history of the Debert Diefenbunker.[11]
Personal life
Hawkins performs as a professional wrestler.[12]
