Theresa Meeker Pickett is an American marketing and public relations strategist and former independent film actress. She has written for regional and national publications, and her work spans entertainment publicity and media spokesperson roles.
Entertainment and media career
Theresa began her career in the entertainment industry, working in independent film, commercials, and modeling. She gained experience as an actress and producer, including her work on the award-winning independent film Look (2009), which received recognition in multiple film festivals.[1] She later transitioned into production roles, serving as a publicist for So In Love (2014) and as a production assistant for Fire from Below (2009).
In addition to film, she appeared as the bride riding away in a red pickup truck in Luke Bryan’s We Rode in Trucks music video and played the friend of the love interest in John Michael Montgomery’s If You Ever Went Away.[2][3] She took on various commercial and print modeling roles and has represented brands as a spokesperson in televised news segments.[4]
In addition to on-camera work, Theresa has produced branded video content. As the owner of Theresa’s Reviews and Enjoying Family Life, she created and appeared in sponsored videos, vlogs, and social media campaigns for various brands. Her blog, which featured interviews with prominent figures such as Jeff Kinney, Adrian Molina, Jerry O'Connell and Benjamin Bratt, became a platform for celebrating family life and creativity, further establishing her as an influential voice in digital media.[5]
Online filmmaking camp
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Theresa created a highly rated online filmmaking camp for children, guiding over 600 students in producing original short films.[6] Several of her daughters’ films earned multiple awards and festival selections, highlighting her influence in empowering young filmmakers. She also helped launch a film festival with her daughter that received a grant from the Jane Goodall Roots & Shoots program.[7]

Marketing career
In 2023, Theresa transitioned from her background as a school teacher into full-time marketing. She joined Visit Howard County, Maryland, as the Marketing Content & Communications Manager. In this role, she oversaw strategic advertising and public relations efforts, promoting regional entertainment and cultural events [9]
She supported tourism efforts for other Mid-Atlantic tourism offices, including Visit Culpeper, VA, creating content that showcased the area's attractions and events. Her expertise in content marketing and brand strategy has allowed her to craft narratives that enhance audience engagement and drive tourism initiatives.[10]
