The Mummy is an upcoming American supernatural horror film written and directed by Lee Cronin. It is produced by Jason Blum and James Wan under their respective Blumhouse Productions and Atomic Monster banners, alongside Cronin's production company Doppelgängers. The film stars Jack Reynor, Laia Costa, Verónica Falcón, and May Calamawy.
The Mummy is scheduled to be released in the United States on April 17, 2026, by New Line Cinema, making this the first film in the Mummy franchise not to be distributed by Universal Pictures.[a]

Production
In June 2024, New Line Cinema dated an untitled film written and directed by Lee Cronin for April 17, 2026.[1] The following December, the untitled film was revealed to be a new version of The Mummy. It will be produced by Blumhouse Productions, Atomic Monster, and Doppelgängers for New Line Cinema.[2]
In March 2025, Jack Reynor and Laia Costa were cast in the film.[3][4] In the subsequent months, Verónica Falcón, May Calamawy, May Elghety, Natalie Grace, Shylo Molina and Billie Roy joined the cast.[5][6] In July, Hayat Kamille was added to the cast.[7]
Principal photography began in Ireland and Spain on March 24, 2025, and wrapped on June 25.[8][9][10]
Release
The Mummy is scheduled to be released in the United States on April 17, 2026.
