The Child Lovers: A Study of Paedophiles in Society is a 1983 book by British psychologist Glenn D. Wilson and David N. Cox.[1][2][3] The book studies the life experiences and personality traits of seventy-seven members of the Pedophile Information Exchange.[1][3]
The evaluations and interviews presented in the book were conducted from 1988 to 1989.[2] A third of the original sample who answered the two questionnaires provided by the research authors agreed to further have individualized interviews.[3] The respondents of the questionnaire generally reported negative attitudes toward and adverse experiences with undergoing therapeutic treatments.[1][3] About half of the book is dedicated to exploring specific case studies.[2]
