The Sutter Club is a historic building located in Sacramento, California constructed in 1930 in a Spanish Eclectic style.[2] It was recognized as a Sacramento landmark in 1982.[2] Designed by local architecture firms Dean & Dean and Starks & Flanders, it draws from Mediterranean and Spanish architectural styles.[2] The Sutter Club was formed in 1889 to provide a social outlet for successful Sacramento merchants and professional men.[2] The club is among the oldest social clubs in California.[2]
