Sunny Madeline Sandler (born November 2, 2008) is an American actress. She is the daughter of actor and comedian Adam Sandler and model-actress Jackie Sandler. She is best known for her role as Stacy Friedman in You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah (2023).[1][2]
Early life
Sandler was born Sunny Madeline Sandler on November 2, 2008 in California to actor and comedian Adam Sandler (b. 1966) and model and actress Jackie (née Titone; born 1974) Sandler. She has an older sister, Sadie Sandler (b. 2006) who is also an actress.[3] Sunny is of Jewish descent on her father's side and is of Italian descent on her mother’s side.[4][5] Her cousin is actor, comedian, and director Tyler Spindel.[6] Her maternal grandfather is politician Joseph H. Titone.[7][8]
Career
Sandler began her acting career as a child, often appearing in films produced by her father. Her first appearance was in Grown Ups (2010), in which she played the daughter of Tardio, a friend of her father's character. Since then, she has appeared in several other Adam Sandler films, including Just Go with It (2011), Jack and Jill (2011), That's My Boy (2012), Grown Ups 2 (2013), Blended (2014), The Ridiculous 6 (2015), Sandy Wexler (2017), The Week Of (2018), Murder Mystery (2019), and Hubie Halloween (2020).[9][10]
In many of these films, she portrayed minor roles or played the daughter of her father's character. In You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah (2023), she took on a leading role as Stacy Friedman, earning praise for her performance. Her sister Sadie and father Adam also appear in the film.[11][12][13][14]
In 2023, she voiced the character of Summer in the animated film Leo, a talkative girl who forms a bond with Leo, the class pet voiced by Adam Sandler.[15][16]
