State Junior High School 2 Sempor

SMP Negeri 2 Sempor is a junior high school in the Sempor district of Central Java, Indonesia. The school is located in a rural mountainous region, in the village of Kenteng RT, 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) northeast of Jatinegara Village, and around 30 kilometres (19 mi) northwest of the local capital, Kebumen.

History

The school opened in 1998 before it had its own building; two classes of students rode to a building at nearby state primary school, SD Negeri 1 Kenteng. Teachers came from another state junior high school, SMP Negeri 1 Sempor, assisted by two administrative staff.

By 1999/2000, the school had four classes and its own building, but classes began in the afternoon because teachers had to travel from SMP Negeri 1 Sempor. The following school year, teaching and learning were able to begin at the normal morning time, employing teachers, a Master Civil Affairs Officer and several staff and guards.

State Junior High School 2 Sempor has 14 classes from three grade levels, around 500 students, 35 teachers, and 9 administrative staff.
