South Florida Gay News was a South Florida-based alternative weekly newspaper published by Norm Kent. It was first launched in 2009.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7] In May of 2023 the newspaper announced it would be shutting down, following the death of founder Norm Kent.[8] Former staff members launched Out South Florida in June of 2023 to fill the gap that the closing of South Florida Gay News left.[8]
