Sonya Lamonakis (born October 7, 1974, Greece) is a Greek American boxer and New York City school teacher.[4][5] Lamonakis is ranked formally no.1 in the women's heavyweight division in the World Boxing Council.[6] Lamonakis is a former IBO World Heavyweight Champion.[7] Lamonakis was inducted into the International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame in 2023.[8][9]
