Snatch Game (RuPaul's Drag Race season 16)

"Snatch Game" is an episode of the sixteenth season of the American television series RuPaul's Drag Race.[1][2][3][4] It originally aired on February 23, 2024. Kyra Sedgwick is a guest judge, with Chad Michaels appearing as a special guest.

Episode

The mini challenge of the episode is the annual 'Reading is Fundamental', based on the documentary Paris is Burning. Xunami Muse wins the challenge.[5]

RuPaul reveals the episode's main challenge is the annual Snatch Game. Chad Michaels, winner of All Stars season one and season four's Snatch Game for her performance as Cher, is a special guest and talks to the queens with RuPaul in the Werkroom prior to the challenge.[6]

On the main stage, RuPaul welcomes fellow panelists Michelle Visage and Carson Kressley, as well as guest judge Kyra Sedgwick. The runway category is "Dancing Queen", with each look representing a style of dance.[5] Dawn does polka, Morphine does flamenco, Mhi'ya does 90s hip hop, Nymphia does Butoh, Plasma does tap,[6] Q does the robot, Sapphira does majorette in a Drag U-inspired look, and Xumani the salsa.

Plane Jane is declared the winner of the challenge. Morphine Love Dion and Xunami Muse place in the bottom two and face off in a lip-sync contest to "I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)" by Whitney Houston. Morphine Love Dion is deemed the winner of the lip-sync and Xunami Muse is eliminated from the competition.
