The Slave Trade Act 1843[a] (6 & 7 Vict. c. 98) is an act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom "for the more effectual Suppression of the Slave Trade."
As of 2025 the act remains in force in the United Kingdom.
Subsequent developments
Section 2 of the act was repealed by section 1 of, and the schedule to, the Statute Law Revision Act 1891 (54 & 55 Vict. c. 67).
