Siege of Mosul (1517) took place when the Ottoman Empire captured the city from the Safavid Iran in 1517.[1][2]

Safavid Ahmed Bey Afshar was in the hands of. [1] Diyarbakır Beylerbey Bıyıklı Mehmed Pasha, with the support of Bedir Bey, annexed Mosul to the Ottoman Empire from Ahmed Bey Afshar 1517.[1][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10]
