Shih Yen-shiang (Chinese: 施顏祥; pinyin: Shī Yánxiáng; born 24 March 1950) is a Taiwanese chemist and politician. He was the Minister of Economic Affairs from 2009 to 2013.[1]
Early life and education
Shih was born in Taichung on March 24, 1950. He graduated from National Taiwan University with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in chemistry in 1972, then completed doctoral studies in the United States, where he earned his master's degree and Ph.D. in chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).[2]
