Shastra (Gujarati: શસ્ત્ર) is a 2025 Indian Gujarati cyber thriller and action drama film directed by Kartavya Shah and written by Bhargav Trivedi. It stars Chetan Dhanani, Puja Joshi,[1] Deep Vaidya, Hemin Trivedi and others. The film was produced by Ajay Patel, Dit J. Patel, Ashok Patel, and Piyush Patel and was released nationwide on 1 May 2025.[2][3][4][5][6][7]
Plot
The story revolves around ACP Raghav (Chetan Dhanani), a seasoned police officer who finds himself thrust into the complex world of cybercrime when a series of sophisticated digital attacks rocks the city. The film explores the dark underbelly of the internet age, where personal information becomes a weapon and social media platforms turn into hunting grounds for cybercriminals.
When Vaidehi (Puja Joshi), a tech-savvy professional, becomes the target of a dangerous cyber stalking ring, she seeks help from ACP Raghav. What begins as a routine case quickly escalates into a city-wide digital conspiracy involving identity theft, online fraud, and cyber harassment. The perpetrators use advanced hacking techniques and social engineering to manipulate their victims, leaving a trail of destroyed lives and shattered reputations.
As Raghav delves deeper into the investigation with the help of P.C (Deep Vaidya) and the quirky informant Jogi (Hemin Trivedi), he discovers that the cybercriminals are operating a sophisticated network that extends far beyond simple online scams. The film showcases how easily personal data can be weaponized and how vulnerable ordinary citizens are in the digital age.
The narrative takes several unexpected turns as Raghav realizes that the cyber attacks are connected to a larger conspiracy involving corruption, blackmail, and revenge. The protagonist must navigate through layers of digital deception while racing against time to prevent a major cyber attack that could cripple the city's infrastructure.
Through its gripping storyline, Shastra delivers a powerful message about cyber safety, digital literacy, and the importance of protecting one's online presence. The film combines elements of traditional police procedurals with modern cybercrime thriller elements, creating a unique viewing experience that is both entertaining and educational.
