Shanaya Kapoor (born 3 November 1999) is an Indian actress who primarily works in Hindi films.[1] She is the daughter of actor Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Sandhu.[2][3]

Early life and background

Kapoor was born on 3 November 1999 in Mumbai to actor Sanjay Kapoor and entrepreneur Maheep Kapoor.[3] She is the granddaughter of Surinder Kapoor. She is the niece of film producer Boney Kapoor and actor Anil Kapoor.[4] She has a younger brother Jahaan. Actors Sonam Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Harshvardhan Kapoor, Mohit Marwah, and Janhvi Kapoor, producer Rhea Kapoor and entrepreneur Anshula Kapoor are her cousins. She attended Ecole Mondiale World School and later trained in dance and acting before entering the film industry.[5]

Career

Kapoor began her film career as an assistant director on Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2020). In 2021, she appeared as herself in the Netflix reality series Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. She is signed under Dharma Productions[6] and has been announced for upcoming film projects, though her acting debut is yet to be released.[7]
