Sheikh Zayed International Airport (IATA: RYK, ICAO: OPRK), also known as Rahim Yar Khan Airport, is located at Rahim Yar Khan, in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is named after Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who funded the construction of the airport and the road to his palace in Rahim Yar Khan.[4]
2025 India–Pakistan conflict
The airport runway was damaged during the 2025 India–Pakistan conflict and it was to remain closed till June 6 2025 to finish repair works on the bombed runway.[5][6] As per Pakistani sources, the airport's Royal Lounge was damaged in the attack and a 100 ft (30 m)-wide crater was created in the apron area.[7]
