History

Saraya was founded on 16 May 2020 in response to the Assassination of Qasem Soleimani. It is the third group to declare its position against the United States.[1] An attack was claimed in May, although the conditions and timing of the attack are unclear.[2]

It carried out an explosive attack against a convoy of US forces on 2 July 2020, in Babil Governorate.[3]

On 12 July 2020, in Samawah they attacked four trucks coming from Basra.[4][5]

It became inactive in July 2021.[6]
