Sarah Anderson is a ceramicist from Indianapolis, Indiana.[1] Her pottery focuses on using a sgraffito technique to draw on the surface of her creations.[2][3] As of early 2025, she is touring the country as part of a teaching tour.[4]
Education
She graduated from Ball State University with a degree in sculpture in 2019.[1][5]
Work
Anderson was part of Indianapolis Art Center as the ceramic department chair.[1] She won Best Teapot for the Strictly Functional Pottery National which takes place in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.[2] She participated in National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts where she had a booth as a demo Amaco artist.[2] In 2025, she was one of five artists selected for the Welcome Race Fans series, which places art by the artists in visible spots throughout the city.[6][7][3]
