Saeed Borji (Persian: سعید برجی; 1958 – 14 June 2025) was an Iranian nuclear physicist and nuclear engineer.
Life and career
Born in 1958 in Abadan,[1] Borji was the founder of the Petrochemical companies Azar Afrouz Saeed Engineering Company and Arvin Kimia Abzar.[2]
Borji graduated with a PhD in mechanical engineering from Malek Ashtar University.[3]
He participated in Iran's nuclear program from 1980 until his death.[3]
Death
Borji was one of the targets of the Israeli bombings in Iran for being a nuclear engineer on 14 June 2025 in Tehran.[4][5][6][7] His funeral held on 28 June was set to take place along with those of all the top commanders killed during the Iran–Israel war.[8]
