Red Bays (also known as Red Bay) is a village in the north-west of the Bahamian archipelago of Andros. It is the only settlement on the western coast of Andros and is around 23 kilometers (14 miles) away from the San Andros Airport.[1]
History
The Black Seminoles came to the village from Florida in the 1820's. In the 1930's, an anthropologist conducting research in the Bahamas found a descendant of the people group, and that is when the village started gaining recognition.[2]
