Rakesh Pandey (born August 27, 1968) is an Indian writer and the editor of Pravasi Sansar, an Indian magazine.[1][2]

Early life and education

Pandey was born on 27 August 1968 in Kasara, a village in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh.[3] He earned his Ph.D. in the Analytical Study of Awadhi folk Natya and Hindi Natya Kala.[4]

Career

Pandey was a participant at the 10th World Hindi Conference in 2015, where he interviewed the former foreign minister of India, Smt. Sushma Swaraj.[5]

At his work, Pandey has dedicated a significant amount of effort to promoting Hindi and Awadhi languages.[6][7][8][9] Under the "Hindi Bachao Munch" banner, he advocates for the inclusion of other dialects of the Hindi language in Schedule 8 of the Indian Constitution.[10][11][12]

In 2016, Pravasi Sansar celebrated the magazine's 10-year anniversary. The event was held at the House of Commons in London, hosted by then-Member of Parliament (MP) Virendra Sharma. In attendance as the Chief Guest was then-Governor of Goa, Mridula Sinha.
