Season chronology |
The second season of the trivia game show Rainbow Rumble premiered on June 28, 2025 on Kapamilya Channel with simulcasts on A2Z, All TV, and Kapamilya Online Live, replacing Rated Korina and Tao Po!.[1]
This is the first season to air on All TV following the show's departure on TV5, marking the return of fresh ABS-CBN produced game show offerings to channels 2 and 16 in Mega Manila and regional channels previously used by the latter until 2020. This occurred just a year and 2 months after ABS-CBN Corporation and All TV's owner, Advanced Media Broadcasting System (AMBS), signed content agreements to air ABS-CBN programs on All TV.[2]
Development and overview
After losing his bid for Batangas vice governor at the 2025 Philippine midterm elections last May 12, 2025, Luis Manzano hinted at a possible return to television as a game show host. On May 15, he posted a poll on social media asking fans which show they’d prefer to see return: Rainbow Rumble, Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal, or Minute to Win It. Celebrities and fans responded with varied suggestions, including other shows he previously hosted like Game Ka Na Ba? and I Can See Your Voice.[3][4]
On June 3 of the same year, a teaser was released on the show's official social media accounts, featuring a video that posed a question in Filipino: "Ano itong makulay, masaya, at magbabalik na?" (“What is this colorful, joyful, and returning soon?”). Details about the upcoming season were unveiled two days later, with the show confirming its premiere date as June 28. The first set of confirmed participating groups was announced on June 18.[5]
Format and gameplay
The show features a pyramid-shaped stage where five players, known as Rumblers, compete to reach the top of the pyramid to win cash prizes and the jackpot prize of ₱1,000,000.
The game is divided into two rounds: Rally to the Top and Rainbow Reveal.
- In the Rally to the Top round, players must answer trivia questions on a rally board containing 50 questions of varying difficulty and category. They must swipe their sensors to answer questions, with correct answers allowing them to move closer to the pyramid and the highest possible bank.
- The Lucky Tile is a special tile that grants an advantage and the opportunity to advance to a tile of their choice in the next tier.
- The Tile Breaker round is triggered if the die on the Die Rolling Machine (DRM) lands on a color that another Rumbler has already occupied. If the challenged Rumbler correctly answers the Tile Breaker question, they defend their tile and keep their money. If the challenger correctly responds, they win the tile and the money.
- In the Jackpot Round (Rainbow Reveal), the winner must roll six Die Rolling Machines and land on six unique colors in 60 or more seconds. Each unique color rolled within the time limit gives the player an additional ₱5,000, while successfully landing on all six unique colors wins the player one million pesos (₱1,000,000).
Additions and changes
There are several changes introduced this season:
- Before the game begins, only two out of the five Rumblers will be granted an Atras Power, which allows the holder to send a Rumbler one step back from the top of the pyramid.
- The value of the Lucky Tile is now doubled when stepped on by a Rumbler.[b]
- The Tile Breaker can now be used across an unlimited number of challenges, rather than just once per tile.
- The Rally to the Top winner now has an increased chance of winning the jackpot by answering at least three out of six questions correctly during Rainbow Reveal. Once achieved, the winner will receive a free color advantage. As a result, the additional seconds advantage has been eliminated, and each winner now has only 60 seconds to roll all six unique colors.
- In addition to the usual identification questions, this season's challenges now include video, photo, and audio-based questions.
- In the fourth tier of the pyramid, the two previously removed colors, purple and blue, were reintroduced, with purple assigned to the red and yellow tiles and blue to the green and pink tiles. Both tiles retain a value of ₱20,000. This simply means that the pyramid now contains three tri-colored tiles.

Statistics
Atras Power usage
Introduced this season is the Atras Power, allowing the holder to send another Rumbler back to a tile in a previous tier of their choosing. Two Atras Powers are assigned to each group, determined by a draw of lots before the game begins. To activate it, they must call Luis, present their medal, and name the Rumbler they want to move back.

Notes
- ^ The show simulcasts on free TV via A2Z, All TV, and online via Kapamilya Online Live on Facebook and YouTube. It is also available on-demand via iWantTFC and internationally via The Filipino Channel.
- ^ The doubled value of the tile is immediately awarded to the Rumbler who steps on the Lucky Tile. Consequently, this doubled value is added to the Rumbler's banked money, regardless of whether they were moved by another Rumbler or have stepped on another tile (whether its value is added or deducted).
- ^ Formerly known as KaladKaren.
- ^ This was the episode's lucky tile. JC received a doubled cash prize of ₱10,000 and the option to choose a tile in the next tier. He chose the green and purple tile valued at ₱10,000. At that point, his total earnings had reached ₱30,000.
